The Presence of Two Representatives of Iranian Cinema
Mahmoud Sany, the documentary filmmaker, who is one of the jury members at the thirtieth film festival in Valencia, said that this festival is one of the most prestigious film festivals in the world that is held in Spain from June 19th to June 26th.
He announced the presence of two representatives of Iranian cinema in this festival. Hamid Rajabi, the director of A Minor Leap Down (Paridan Az Ertefa Kam), the co-production of Iran and France that took part in the feature film category. Ali Asgari, the director of Bacheh (the Kid), the co-production of Iran and Italy that took part in the short film category.
Mohammad Sany said that discovering young talents is one of the aims of this festival. In the feature film category, 11 movies are to be chosen and judged that some of them are Iranian movies. In the sort film category also, 58 films are to be judged.
The director of the documentary film, Ghabileh Bani Asad dar Iraq(The Tribe of Bani Asad in Iraq), said that the special jury award with three thousand euros will be given to the chosen movie among the feature films and also this award with eight thousand euros will be given to the chosen movie among short films.
