Pre-university Educations
Children at the age of 5 enter a 1 year period of preparation (Vorschule), and then at the age of 6 they enter the primary school (Volksschulen). The length of primary period is 4 years ad at the end students take participate in exams. After that the general secondary school will be started for years. In this period a great attention will be applied to practical educations and students learn practical basics along with theoretical ones. Therefore educational methods are based on learning with experience. Schools plan their syllabus based on their facilities, containing science and technology, geology, computer, art ad physical science along with main courses such as Germany, Mathematics, and Foreign languages. Then some students enter high schools (Hauptschule), some enter technical-professional colleges, and some others enter special schools of physical science and music and pass high schools 4-5 years periods. Top students in Primary periods go to AHS schools (Allgemeinbildende Höhere Schule) and after the 4-year period of general secondary school, continue 4-year school of high school.
All high school and college students from whatever educational orientation, take participate in universitys entrance exams (Reife Prufung) and in case of being accepted receive (Reifeprüfungszeugins) degree which is high school diploma, and in this situations, they are called high schools graduated (Maturanten).
Foreign applicants, who have high school diploma, should pass a 1 year period of pre-university (Vorstudiumlehrgang) to enter university.
